Civil Marriage Ceremonies at City Hall
Elected City Clerks are authorized to perform civil marriage ceremonies throughout the State of California. In Laguna Beach, you must make an appointment in advance to be married by the City Clerk (please note that the City of Laguna Beach does not issue marriage licenses).
Civil ceremonies take place outside in front of City Hall during City Hall hours - Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, every other Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. City Hall is closed 12 pm to 1 pm every day, every other Friday, holidays and weekends.
In order to be married at Laguna Beach's City Hall, you will need to obtain a marriage license through the County Clerk Recorders Office and bring the original marriage license with you on the day of your ceremony. Both parties must present photo identification (i.e. driver’s license or passport). The fee for a civil marriage ceremony is $25.

Domestic Partnership Registration
You can register your domestic partnership in Laguna Beach even if you are not a City resident. In Laguna Beach, you must make an appointment in advance to register your domestic partnership:
