When does registration begin?
Registration begins on a quarterly basis. Check the Laguna Beach Community Services Brochure for dates.

When should I register for an activity that I would like to take?
Once registration has opened for the particular quarter in which the activity is offered, you should register as soon as possible to guarantee yourself a space in the activity. Activities that are under enrolled may be canceled.

How do I receive an additional family member discount?
Additional family discounts are noted in class descriptions where applicable and are available on the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System in most cases. Just select the correct activity section and register. Please note: class rosters will be audited. If you require further assistance, please contact the Department by email at
recreation@lagunabeachcity.net or telephone at (949) 497-0716. If you prefer, you can register at the discounted fee by mail or drop off. Business hours are weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm.

How do I cancel a registration?
You cannot cancel a registration once it is processed. There are no refunds unless the activity is canceled or modified by the Laguna Beach Community Services Department. Participants will be notified and a full refund will be processed with four weeks.

Can activities be canceled due to low registration?
Activities that are under enrolled may be canceled. Secure the activity of your choice, pre-register!

Can I transfer my registration fee from one activity to another?
Yes, it is possible to transfer your registration fee from one activity to another. Transfers must be requested at least one business day before the start date of the activity and received in writing (Laguna Beach Community Services Department, 515 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach, CA 92651) or by email at recreation@lagunabeachcity.net Requests will be accommodated on a space-available basis. A processing fee of $20 will be assessed. This cannot be processed via the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System.

Besides using the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System, how else can I register for activities offered by Laguna Beach Community Services?
You can register for activities through the mail or by dropping off your registration at the Laguna Beach Community Services Department, 515 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach 92651. Business hours are weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Instructors are not allowed to accept in-class registration other than a drop-in fee which must be paid by check (cash is not accepted at activities.)

What information do I need to register online for an activity?
To use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System, you will need your Individual ID, Family Password, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard accepted) and a valid email address for confirmation purposes. Also, the name and birthdate for each person you wish to register is required on your family account.

What can I do with the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?
You can search for activities and view activity registration information, register for activities, receive confirmation of your paid registration, view recent registration history information, email receipts and schedules, pay on your account, create an account and update account information. Searching for activities can be done at any time without special requirements. Registration requires an Individual ID, a Family Password and a Visa or Mastercard.

What is required to use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?
You must have a valid email address to establish your Individual ID and Family Password.

Who can use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?
Anyone who would like to register for recreation activities offered by Laguna Beach Community Services and who has a valid email address. City residents and non-residents are welcome and encouraged to use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System.

Is your system secure?
When you use Visa or Mastercard to register online, rest assured that the transaction is secure. Our servers use 128-bit encryption technology that works with Netscape Navigator (versions 2.0 and above), Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.0 and above), AOL (AOL 3.0 and above), Opera (5.0 and above) and other popular web browsers. This technology safeguards your personal information and guarantees privacy.

What browser do I need to use the system?
Any of the popular browsers in use today should enable you to use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System. The most recent versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, and Opera will provide full functionality. Many older versions will work properly as well. Your browser must be set to accept cookies.

Individual IDs and Family Passwords


What are Individual IDs and Family Passwords?

  • A Family Password is a number that identifies your household. It is required to register for activities, but is not required to view activities.
  • Your original Individual ID (required for registration) is a 4 to 6 digit number which identifies each person. You can change this ID to something easier to remember, such as your email address.

How do I get an Individual ID and Family Password?
If you have registered for an activity with us previously, your account is in the system and you can contact us for your Individual ID and Family Password at (949) 497-0716 or via email at recreation@lagunabeachcity.net

If you have not registered with us before, you can create an account by going to the 'My Account' page.

I forgot my Individual ID and/or Family Password. How can I retrieve it?
If you have an email address in our system, you can enter that email address by selecting the 'forgot my password' link from the 'My Account' page. If you do not have an email address in our system, you can contact us at (949) 497-0716 or via email at recreation@lagunabeachcity.net

 

Can I change my Family Password?
Yes. The link to do this can be accessed from the 'My Account' page.

How can I add a family member to my account?
Under the 'My Account' tab, there is an option to Update Account. You can add a family member from there. Be sure to enter information into all required fields.

How can I request a change of address for my account?
Under the 'My Account' tab, there is an option to Update Account. You can update your account information from there. Be sure to enter information into all required fields

What email address should I provide to use the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?
We recommend you use a currently active email address that you view regularly.

Can I see if I have credits on my account?
Your account balance will automatically appear in the payment screen during the registration check out process and any credits you have will be automatically applied against the amount due.

How do I register for an activity using the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?

The basic steps to follow are:

  1. Search for an activity you want. Select it by clicking on the activity title.
  2. The details of the activity, including updated enrollment, class length and fee will display.
  3. If you have not already created a "shopping basket" you will be prompted to Login to Register.
  4. Enter the Individual ID and Family Password where prompted. Confirm that YOUR record is displayed or try again as shown on the screen. If the record is yours, click on Continue with Registration.
  5. Use the Select a Person dropdown box to indicate who in your household is being registered or waitlisted. All family members on record will appear in the dropdown box.
  6. The button to the right of the registrant's name will say REGISTER if the activity is available or ADD TO WAITLIST if the activity is full.
  7. If you do want to register or be placed on the waitlist simply click the ADD or WAITLIST button.
  8. Your "shopping basket" will display with all selections you have made to this point. You can continue choosing additional activities by clicking on the Search & Register link.
  9. If you have no more selections to make, click the Check Out button from the ‘My Basket’ page.
  10. On the Check Out screen, verify your selections, provide the required credit card payment information (Visa or Mastercard accepted) and the email address where you want to receive confirmation.
  11. Click the Complete Transaction button to submit your registration and payment request.

How can I verify/display what activities my family members are enrolled in?
With your Individual ID and Family Password you can access this information via the "My Account" page page.

If I do not know the activity code, how can I search for the activity I want to take?
You do not need to know the activity code to search for activities. You can search the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System by activity title, subject or category, location and/or keyword.

Are there activities available that are not offered for registration on Laguna Beach Community Services Online System?
Yes, there are activities and special events available that are not on the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System. You can view some of this information in the activity brochure which is also posted on the City's website at www.lagunabeachcity.net or by contacting the Department at (949) 497-0716, ext. 6.

How can I register someone from another family?
You cannot. Each login is tied to your Family Password. Each family requires their own Individual ID and Family Password. Only immediate family members living in the same household should be on your account.

How will I know if a spot becomes available after I have waitlisted?
You will be contacted by our staff if an opening becomes available.

Why is some activity information on the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System different than what is published in the recreation brochure?
The Laguna Beach Community Services Online System contains up-to-the-minute activity and schedule information, whereas information in the recreation brochure was submitted previously for publication. If you notice a difference between the two, refer to the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System for accuracy.

How can I confirm my registration?
If you register using the Laguna Beach Community Services Online System, you may print your receipt. Receipts will not be mailed to you.
