LAGUNA BEACH SENIOR TRANSPORTATION

AGEWELL SENIOR SERVICES – (949) 855-9766

·         Within Laguna Beach they provide non-emergency medical transportation to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach and Mission Viejo campuses for those 60+ years residing within service area that includes Laguna Beach. There is no cost to seniors for this program.
·         Outside Laguna Beach they provide non-emergency medical transportation to destinations in the Laguna Beach Service Area (Irvine/Newport Beach on north and San Clemente on south), a maximum distance of 15 miles from residence, or to Kaiser Anaheim (Lakeview) and Long Beach Veterans Hospital. Participants must be at least 60 years of age and ineligible for
OCTA ACCESS services.
Cost: $2 for a one-way trip. Rides must be scheduled at least 24-hours in advance. Care attendants ride free of charge.

·         Transportation to Community and Susi Q Center lunch and programs; local businesses,  Grocery stores and "Afternoon Outs" to discount stores & social activities and visit to senior homes for consideration as future residences. 
  
Medical appointments within 40 miles of L.B. with a $20 donation.

LAGUNA BEACH TRANSIT

Fixed bus route within the City of Laguna Beach.
·         Senior citizens (65+ years) .30 cents
·         20 ride punch pass for those 65+ - $6.00
·         Free passes for low income seniors available at the Susi Q Center front counter. Must meet low income guidelines

Silver Streak Senior Transportation - Yellow Cab Program - During Yellow Cab Operation Hours
 
Qualifications:
 
·        Senior citizens (60+ years) 
·        Complete application process & be enrolled.
 
·         Be unable to drive or have difficulty driving.
·        Live and travel in Orange County.                                                                     
Cost:
$1.50 for $5.00 taxi gelt - Ten pack $15.00
Usage: 0-2 miles - 2 taxi gelt; 3-5 miles 3 taxi gelt and so on.

Volunteer Driver Program
These rides are for medical grocery shopping, go to Temple etc. Volunteer rides must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Must complete application process and be enrolled. Must sign "Release and Waiver of Liabilty & Indemnity".
Cost: $20 - book of 10 Volunteer Vouchers
Usage: 1 coupon for each one-way ride. 12 miles or less. One coupon for each additional mile.

$2.70 per-person, one-way, curb-to-curb service. Additional $4.00 per trip charge for service to the door.
Seniors and others who are unable to use the regular, fixed-route OCTA service due to disability. Participants must be certified by OCTA. Eligibility is determined individual's ability to get to/from the bus stop; ability to board/exit the bus; and cognitive ability to navigate the regular bus system. Countywide service area.
