Fire Department

Message from the Fire Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Laguna Beach Fire Department I would like to welcome you to our new and updated website.  I hope that the information you find here regarding our organization, services, and history will assist you regardless if you are a resident, visitor, or part of our business community.  Your Fire Department is committed to providing high quality services to you each and every day.

The Fall months brings weather conditions to our area that are always concerning to your Firefighters.  As many may recall, on October 27, 1993, the seventh most costly fire in U.S. history occurred right here in Laguna Beach.  On that fateful afternoon more that 400 homes were damaged or destroyed of a fire that was spread by Santa Ana winds.  While the City has done much to improve fire safety over the years, residents must be mindful of conditions around their homes to ensure they are "fire safe."  As you tour our website you will find opportunities to engage with your Firefighters so they can share with you how you can harden your home and be prepared through programs like  Ready! Set! Go!

Please enjoy your time in Laguna Beach, and while we hope you do not need to call 911; know that if you do have that need we will be there to assist.
