The Field Services Division is the City's first line of defense against the criminal element. Using a data-driven approach to crime and traffic safety, or "Intelligence-Led Policing," patrol personnel are directed to locations and at times where crime is likely to occur.
By analyzing crime data and identifying emerging crime and traffic safety trends, officers are better positioned to deter crime, apprehend criminals, and promote public safety. The Field Services Division, overseen by Acting Field Services Commander, Lt. Jeff Calvert, takes a proactive approach to providing a high level of service to the residents, visitors and businesses in the city of Laguna Beach.
Field Services include patrol, emergency management, bike team, K-9, as well as our Community Outreach Officer and Entertainment District Foot Patrol Officers. The Field Services Division patrols the city 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and 365 days per year.
