Capital Improvement Program

The City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is an orderly plan for addressing major public facility improvements for the purpose of repairing, replacing or constructing new portions of the City's physical infrastructure system; such as streets, sewers, buildings, parks, street lights and storm drains. The City reviews capital improvement suggestions from both the community and City departments on a yearly basis.

With adoption of the City's annual budget, the CIP budget includes a ten year schedule for all capital projects proposed at the time the budget is submitted. The CIP budget includes detailed descriptions of the projects budgeted in Year One. Titles and budget amounts are included for projects included in Years Two through Ten. The Special Projects Inventory is prepared quarterly and provides a report on the status of projects underway or programmed to begin soon.
