The City of Laguna Beach is unique in Orange County in that it is the only municipality that operates its own transit system. Since 1970, the City of Laguna Beach has maintained and operated a municipal transit system to meet the transportation needs of residents and visitors alike and to reduce automobile travel and its impacts within the community.
Laguna Beach Transit provides intracommunity transportation services and augments the intercommunity services and paratransit services provided by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). Laguna Beach Transit provides four types or modes of service within the City of Laguna Beach.
Mainline Service
The Mainline Service consists of three fixed routes, operating six days a week, year round. There is no Mainline Service on Sundays. The Gray route services Top of the World, Laguna Canyon and North Laguna. The Blue route services Arch Beach Heights and Bluebird Canyon. The Red route services Downtown to Ritz Carlton and back along Coast Highway.
