Laguna Beach, CA– Kicking off summer and the busy July 4th holiday weekend, Laguna Beach native, fashion designer and New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Conrad is helping her hometown promote its new parking app, “Laguna Beach Parking,” to alleviate parking congestion in the small Coastal community. The City’s goal is to make parking easier from start to finish for Laguna Beach residents and for the City’s 6 million annual visitors. Download the App now in the App Store and Google Play Store or at www.lagunabeachparking.net.
To promote the “Laguna Beach Parking App,” Lauren Conrad stars in a light hearted public service announcement (PSA) called, “Late for a PSA,” now available to watch at https://youtu.be/32B2T6Vo4SI
The video PSA parodies Conrad as she drives herself to a PSA video shoot about the new “Laguna Beach Parking” App, only to find she can’t get there because she can’t find an available parking spot. Conrad’s former Laguna Beach: The Real Orange Countyco-star, actor Stephen Colletti, also makes a cameo in the PSA as himself, riding past Conrad on a trolley and telling her “she should have used the App” to easily find a parking space in Laguna Beach.
“When the City of Laguna Beach asked me to be a part of their PSA to help launch the ‘Laguna Beach Parking’ App I was happy to help contribute to making the parking experience for both residents and visitors alike better,” Conrad says. “Laguna is my home and such a special place to visit and the City’s App is a wonderful solution to the parking congestions we experience over the Summer.
“Laguna Beach Parking” App users simply enter their desired destination in Laguna Beach to find the closest available parking to that destination in real time. Users can also pay for their parking through the App, keep track of remaining parking time, and even extend their parking session remotely. The App will reduce circling, gridlock and traffic congestion in the Downtown Laguna Beach area while showing drivers all available City parking in real time.
“The City is grateful to Lauren, her husband William Tell and actor Stephen Colletti for their enthusiasm to help the City promote the use of the new ‘Laguna Beach Parking’ App,” said Laguna Beach Mayor Bob Whalen. “Lauren and Stephen donated their time to the City to film this Public Service Announcement to help their hometown. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and grateful to Lauren and her team. We hope that residents and visitors to Laguna Beach will download the App and use it to find parking in our peripheral parking lots where they can easily access the City’s free trolley system and avoid fighting traffic or continually worrying about feeding the meter.”
The “Laguna Beach Parking App is now free to download through the App Store and Google Play store. Or download the Laguna Beach Parking App at www.lagunabeachparking.net. Watch the PSA starring Lauren Conrad at https://youtu.be/32B2T6Vo4SIor the Visit Laguna website at www.visitlaguna.com.
