On Monday, Janaury 6, 2020, the Arts Commission welcomed artist Tom Fruin to Laguna Beach with the unveiling of his temporary sculpture installation "Camouflage House" on City Hall Lawn.
The sculpture is comprised of found and repurposed acrylic panels and offers unique experiences depending on when the piece is viewed. During the day, sunglight shines through the translucent panels and casts a colorful mosaic shadow on its surroundings. At night, the interior lighting makes the house glow like a beacon of creativity. The open archways allow visitors to pass through and get a view from the inside as well.
The public is invited to visit and interact with the artwork during all hours, but is asked to refrain from physically touching the piece. It will be on display though the end of March 2020.
