In California, City Clerks are authorized to perform civil marriage ceremonies throughout the State of California. In Laguna Beach, you must make an appointment in advance to be married by the City Clerk and must have a marriage license through a California County Clerk-Recorder's Office; here is the link to the Orange County Clerk Recorders Office. 

Civil ceremonies take place outside in front of City Hall when City Hall is open: Monday through Thursday, earliest appointment is at 9:00 a.m. and the latest appointment is at 5:00 p.m., every other Friday earliest appointment is at 9:00 a.m. and the latest appointment is at 4:00 p.m. City Hall is closed every other Friday, holidays, and weekends; therefore, no City Hall ceremonies are scheduled on those days.

Please bring your original marriage license with you on the day of your ceremony. Effective July 1, 2022, the fee for a civil marriage ceremony at Laguna Beach City Hall is $100.

Laguna Beach Domestic Partnership Registration

You can register your domestic partnership in Laguna Beach even if you are not a City resident. There is a $25 fee and both parties must present photo identification. *Please note that a Laguna Beach Domestic Partnership is only officially recognized in Laguna Beach.
