If you would like to become a contract instructor for the City of Laguna Beach, submit an application along with a resume to the Recreation Division at 380 Third St, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.

We will consider applications for classes not currently offered in the City of Laguna Beach Recreation program, so please look through our brochure to see what we already offer.

We are not accepting applications in any of the following categories: tennis, pickleball, and soccer. Applications to teach dance, foreign language, music, art, or adult fitness classes are welcomed. 

Other Helpful Information

  • Weekends or evenings may be the only time slots available depending on the constantly changing schedule. 
  • We will contact you if your proposed class is compatible with our program. We'll keep your application on file for the following three quarters, so there is no need to re-apply. 
  • If you are selected to become a Contract Instructor you will be required to complete a background check with the Laguna Beach Police Department before finalizing your Contract with the City.
  • We also require CPR/AED certification and a valid Laguna Beach Business License.
