Filled Sandbags
During times of anticipated heavy rain, we provide filled sandbags on a first-come-first-served basis to residents of Laguna Beach (be prepared to show ID), limit 10 per property. We will promote sandbag distribution on our here on our website, on social media, and in press releases to local news outlets. When available, sandbags can be picked up at either of the two following locations:
- ACT V Parking Lot (Lot 16) - 1900 Laguna Canyon Road
- Aliso Beach Inland Parking Lot - 31118 Coast Highway
Empty Sandbags
Empty sandbags are available at Laguna Beach's four fire stations. They're free, however you must provide your own sand. It is not permitted to fill them with sand from Laguna's beaches or playgrounds.
- Station 1 - 501 Forest Ave
- Station 2 - 285 Agate Street
- Station 3 - 2900 Alta Laguna Blvd
- Station 4 - 31646 2nd Ave
Sand can be purchased at the following locations. Please call ahead to make sure sand is available and prices are subject to change. The City does not place sandbags for the public except where there are known problems of flooding from City Streets.

Sandbag Disposal
To dispose of undamaged sandbags, please return them to the Act V/Lot 16 parking lot (1900 Laguna Canyon Road) or call Public Works at (949) 497-0711.
At the Act V/Lot 16 parking lot, Public Works has placed pallets and a sign to indicate the location where residents should return their sandbags. As you enter the parking lot, the location will be on the left hand side.
