Home MenuConstruction & The Fire Code
Multi-family, commercial and industrial new construction and remodel projects are routed to the Fire Department for review and approval during the entitlement phase and building plan review process. All fire protection system and other fire code construction permit systems and conditions are also routed to the Fire Department for review and approval prior to permit issuance. To assist with understanding the design, construction, plan submittal and inspection processes, we have provided the following documents and links for use by the development community.
NOTE: Review and inspections for all single family homes, duplexes, and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) is conducted by the Building Division of the Community Development Department. This includes associated fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms) and fuel modification. Please contact them for more information.
